Yunnan is in my radar screen as I went Yunnan in 2000 (with GC).
Memory left... was the local "cuisine" which I can still recall: 过桥米线. Next was the 丽江古城 where I climbed up the hill to have the bird's eye view, but ended up 'sliding' down the slope. I still remember going up the 玉龙雪山 though I could not recall anything unique I saw. Probably afterwards, I been to so many places surrounded by mountains... and have seen many beautiful ones.
What's unique this time - it's a family trip and on a package tour. Not much planning is required except to apply the visa for the helper.
This trip, is not just meaningful as a family trip - which I start to value the time we can move together, but I guess I would be able to appreciate what I see and where I go more.
Ah... Is it age's catching up? 😬
