2023, 3-10 June: Australia: Adelaide... to... Sydney

I am pretty excited over the this trip. It's the FIRST one after having home-bounded for more than 3 years. The last one was the family trip to Macau-Hongkong-Guangzhou.

Though travel restrictions had started to ease since 2022, I was quite hesitant about travelling. One, for the pandemic situation was still pretty bad around the world, which implies lots of uncertainty. This included how the various countries were exercising differentiated entry requirements. Another big hassle, not just to check what the requirements of the visiting countries, but also about coming back. The quarantine
and the loads of documentation processing were a real put-off. Of course, the restrictions within the flight was another experience put-off... the comfort and food consumption, and the close proximity - lots of what-ifs..... too much heard-of horror stories, as well as those self-imagined scenarios.

After 3.5 years, having observed carefully... and the "reduced degree of fear" world-wide, think I'm more ready to start travelling again.

This is one of the few potential trips that I started planning before the pandemic.
Nice to find someone who's also keen to go for a train trip :)
Actually, from the last Vancouver trip, I learnt that the spending for train trips is far much more expensive... even more expensive that a flight itself!
Well, how often do we experience it? Hm... it's still considered a novelty to many, I believe.

Am trying something new in terms of documentation of the trip. Of course, I'm referring to the photo album. This time, building on what I've been using Padlet as an album, would be using its new feature, Grid with "Sections". Setting up is a bit tedious, but I think it's worth the try :)

In addition, better to start documenting during the trip - else it may end up as another backlog travelogue.

One day, somebody asked, "You travelled so often. What are the airlines that you've tried." I've never counted until today...
